Yak-32 Mantis, 1960
Single-seat development of the remarkable Yak-30, this full-metal jet, definitely the best in its category, combined advanced aerobatics capabilities with very healthy flying and stunningly optimised design. Equipped with a popular RU19-300 engine (Antonov-24, -26), it has a pressurized cabin and an ejection seat. Record-maker, the Yak-32 took part in Tushino air shows. Incredibly, only 3 serial aircraft were ever produced.
